Steps to Get Level 2 (unarmed) Security License
|

||||
This is the first license, then there is Level 3 (Armed) and Level 4 (Bodyguard).
|
||||
|
||||
1. Go to https://www.ranger.academy/offers/TmCdHyhQ/checkout to sign up for the Level 2 (unarmed guard) course
|
||||
|
||||
2. Take the course (~1hr). You will receive an email with your certificate.
|
||||
|
||||
3. Go to https://tops.portal.texas.gov/psp-self-service/login/auth and click "start individual application"
|
||||
|
||||
4. Fill out the application (~20min). The business license number is P31054401. Company name is "Hyperia". Make sure your name is exactly the same as on the training certificate. You will get an email after you submit.
|
||||
|
||||
5. Tell me and I will approve the application and then you will get another email saying "ready for payment"
|
||||
|
||||
6. Pay, and then you will get another email about Identogo background check
|
||||
|
||||
7. Schedule the background check appointment (the "trace number" is the "transaction number" in the DPS email)
|
||||
|
||||
8. You will get an email saying "application incomplete." Make an account and upload your Level 2 certificate
|
||||
|
||||
9. Do the background check
|

10. Should get approved within a couple of days
