They want money, power, peace, and technical advancement. They are of the liberal cloth that avoids politics because they can. They are focused on the short term. The battle will be getting them to see longer. However, there doesn't seem to be anything immediately stopping them.

It seems unlikely they would pull the plug on Hyperia, if doing so would generate press and controversy. If we were smaller, perhaps it would be more likely. It depends on what they feel will would threaten their peace.
