"Bringing new people grows the pie"

But it shrinks our influence in the competition of nations.

"India can't beat us"

But at the rate they are increasing, they could in a couple generations.

"Your best bet is to get on the grind and make money"

But my goal is longer than money.

"For the country to reach its highest potential, we need to treat and reward people as individuals"

But the country produced most when we were at war.

"The WASP establishment is still in place"

No it isn't, and it is still shrinking now.

"Most people don't contribute that much, so the collective isn't as important as a few key individuals"

But everyone can be used, even as a janitor. Nations are bodies as well as brains.

Competition is supposed to happen as collective.

"We all came from Africa anyway"

But maybe we've evolved.

Never asked:

Isn't shaping people a greater goal than shaping a system?

Or: aren't people the greatest system of all?
